MULTIPLE PRINCIPLES
SCHOOL OF MOTION ASSIGNMENT: Using the provided assets, animate a dynamic pong match using the combined principles of follow through, oscillation, squash and stretch, timing, spacing, and gravity.
I rigged the pong paddles using Duik Bassel in Adobe After Effects. This was a very challenging animation. I started with a storyboard to work out the timing and spacing for both paddles and the ball to interact. The inverse kinematic rig has 3 "joints" that works inline much like an arm's joint hierarchy.
